Grade 8 pupil drowns in Pangasinan pond

DAGUPAN CITY — A Grade 8 student drowned in a pond in San Carlos City on Saturday night, according to the police.

Jordan Fernandez, 16, died on the way to a hospital after he was pulled out of the water.

Fernandez, his two brothers, and several friends decided to take a dip in a pond in Barangay Naguilayan at about 7:30 p.m.

While there, Jordan swam to the middle part of the pond, unaware that it was deep.
