Motorists should expect heavier traffic this weekend as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will conduct road reblocking to repair concrete pavements in different parts of Metro Manila.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Friday that the DPWH will undertake road repairs starting 11 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
In the MMDA traffic advisory, the following areas that will be affected include:
Northbound:
- EDSA before North Avenue, Quezon City (second lane)
- MacArthur Highway near Monumento Circle, Caloocan City
- Mindanao Avenue before Sauyo Road, Quezon city (second lane)
- P. Garcia Avenue from Maginhawa Street to Katipunan Avenue (fourth lane)
Southbound:
- Bonifacio Avenue between Mauban Street to Dome Street, Quezon City (second lane)
- C-5 Road near Julia Vargas, Pasig City
- Rodriguez Jr. Avenue before Green Meadows, Quezon City (truck lane)
- Rodriguez Jr. Avenue after Boni Serrano Flyover, Quezon City (truck lane)
MMDA advised motorists to avoid the said areas and use alternate routes instead. JPV
