La Union is the latest to be placed under signal number 2 as Tropical Storm Jolina intensifies as it heads toward Isabela and Aurora on Friday, according to the state weather bureau.
In its latest weather bulletin as of 11 a.m., Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Jolina has intensified as it moves toward Isabela and Aurora.

Pagasa placed La Union, earlier placed under signal number 1, into signal number 2.
Other provinces placed under signal number 2 are:
- Isabela
- Northern Aurora
- Quirino
- Kalinga
- Mountain Province
- Ifugao
- Ilocos Sur
- Benguet
- Abra
- La Union
- Nueva Vizcaya
The following provinces are placed under signal number 1:
- Cagayan including Babuyan group of islands
- Apayao
- rest of Aurora
- Ilocos Norte
- Nueva Ecija
- Pangasinan
- Northern Quezon including Polillo Island
- Catanduanes
- Camarines Norte
- Camarines Sur
Pagasa said Jolina is expected to make landfall Friday night between 8 to 10 p.m.
Pagasa warned of moderate to heavy rains tonight and tomorrow over Northern and Central Luzon, and moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Southern Luzon, including Bicol region and Metro Manila.
Residents in the affected areas are warned of possible landslides and flashfloods, Pagasa said.
