Mine inspector shot dead in Agusan del Sur

MANILA, Philippines — A mine inspector was gunned down in Agusan del Sur Friday, police said.

Rodgen Conejar of Philsaga Mining Corp., which is under the supervision of Australian firm Medusa Mines, was shot dead by a still unidentified suspect with a .9-millimeter pistol in Bunawan, Superintendent Martin Gamba, Caraga regional police spokesman, said.

Conejar, who was on board his motorcycle when the shooting happened, sustained three bullet wounds on his body.
