CABANATUAN CITY – A 17-year-old boy was killed during a police drug bust on Sunday (Aug. 6).
Ellison Malubay and an accomplice were subjects of a police operation, when Malubay suddenly opened fire at an undercover police officer, forcing the enforcers to fire back, according to Supt. Ponciano Zafra, chief of the Cabanatuan City Police Station.
The boy was brought to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The other suspect managed to escape.
Recovered from the crime scene were seven sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), a 1,000-peso bill used in the transaction and a .22-caliber pistol. –Armand Galang /atm
