THE RAIN OR SHINE Elasto Painters try keep their streak going when they battle the Barako Bull Energy in an explosive main game encounter today in the 37th PBA Philippine Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome.

The Painters have been unstoppable of late, winning their last four games and are currently tied with the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters at the top of the standings with similar 6-2 (win-loss) records.

Barako Bull poses a threat to Rain or Shine’s bid of regaining the solo leadership as the Energy have also been performing well in the tournament.

Composed of crack veterans and reliable rookies, the Energy are at second place with a 5-2 slate and could tie the Painters’ record with a victory today.

Barakol Bull is fresh from a lopsided 117-78 triumph over the Powerade Tigers, pulling off that easy victory after bowing to the former winless Alaska Aces, 72-93.

In the first game, the Meralco Bolts try to score a repeat against the on and off B-Meg Llamados. The Bolts came out triumphant, 84-78, in their first meeting with the Llamados last Oct. 15.

Meralco is looking for a win that would put them just within the leaders. The team currently has five wins and three loses, good for a joint third place with the Petron Blaze Boosters.

The Llamados are in the middle of the pack with three victories and four losses.

Meralco and B-Meg are coming from victories.
