‘Mall has everything in one place’

A BUSINESSMAN is bullish about the economic prospects of his mall, which is set to open today at A.S. Fortuna Street, barangay Bakilid, Mandaue City.

Jerry Uy, J Centre Mall owner, said he was confident of his mall’s chances because J Centre Mall has an edge against the other big malls.

“We have have everything in one place, the whole complex (reffering to the structure of the building) features not just a shopping mall and supermart but also call centers, convention halls, cenimas amd residencial spaces and soon a hotel,” Uy said.

He even saw the traffic and flood situation in Mandaue City as just a part of the economic growth and development in the city.

He said he chose A.S. Fortuna for the location of his mall because it was already a commercial zone.

“Location of commercial development is very important for us and we planned this very well,” Uy told the reporters yesterday morning while pointing out that the area where J mall is built will not be flooded.

For the traffic, Uy said they were closely coordinating with the Mandaue City government to help them with the traffic routes because they were planning in putting up terminals for jeepneys and taxicabs in the area. Reporter Jucell Marie P. Cuyos
