THE National Statistics Office (NSO) and the Philippine Statistical Association are inviting college freshmen to join the 20th Philippines Statistics Quiz (PSQ).
The PSQ is an annual competition for Filipino freshmen students currently enrolled in college or university. It is designed to test the contestant’s knowledge of statistics acquired from secondary education.
It also aims to promote, enhance, and instill appreciation on the value of statistics among the Filipino youth.
It also seeks to generate greater public awareness on the importance of statistics in development planning.
NSO Administrator Carmelita N. Ericta, chairperson of National Steering Committee, announced that the regional championship will be simultaneously held on Nov. 17 in the different regions. The national finals will be held in Manila on Dec. 9.
NSO-7 Regional Director Ariel Florendo encouraged universities and colleges in the region to participate in the PSQ provincial elimination on Nov. 10.
