A yellow rainfall warning was raised over Metro Manila and nearby provinces midday Wednesday due to rains brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat).
Aside from Metro Manila, the rainfall alert was also placed over Bataan, Zambales and Pampanga, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 11a.m. advisory.
Flooding is likely in these areas.
Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are also experienced over Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, Tarlac, Batangas, Quezon (Gen. Nakar, Infanta,Real,Polilio Is.) which may persist for 2-3 hours.
A yellow rainfall advisory is raised when rainfall is expected to amount to between 7.5 millimeters (mm) and 15 mm within an hour and may likely continue. Frances Mangosing/IDL
