Ex-Binangonan police chief hurt in ambush—report

A former police chief of Binangonan, Rizal was injured after he was shot at a gasoline station in Antipolo City on Friday.

 

Police Superintendent Noel Versoza was wounded after gunmen riding in motorcycle approached him and shot him thrice at FilOil gasoline station on J.P. Rizal St., Barangay (village) Dela Paz, Antipolo City, DZMM radio reported.

Citing Police Inspector Bambi Bosana of Rizal Public Information Office, the report said Versoza was shot in his left arm and was able to drive to the nearby Antipolo Church and was later brought to Unciano Medical Hospital.

He currently serves at the Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna. The motive for the attempt has yet to be known. IDL
