SALN of Duterte Cabinet released; Mark Villar is lone billionaire

Public Works Secretary Mark Villar is the lone billionaire in the Duterte Cabinet with a P1.409 billion net worth, his latest Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net worth (SALN) showed.

Malacañang released Thursday SALNs of the Cabinet members of the Duterte administration.

Villar had a net worth of P1.42 billion in assets and P14.5 million in liabilities as of December 2016.

The secretary’s assets include at least four condominiums and three lots with houses amounting to a total of P135 million. The remaining P1.29 billion in “other real and personal properties” were not specified.

Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano is the poorest Cabinet official with a net worth of P273,692.58. Mariano did not declare any real property.

His assets include his clothing of around P35,000 and cash in bank of P238,629.58.

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III is the second richest Cabinet official with a net worth of P351,859,283.
