Cebuanos urged to extend vote support

CEBUANOS were urged to vote online for the inclusion of Puerto Princessa’s underground river as one of the new Seven Wonders of Nature.

The Cebu City Council passed a resolution in its session yesterday asking  Cebuanos to vote as the deadline ends today.

Councilor Alvin Dizon said this is part of the local city government’s contribution in the global campaign.

“This will boost the county’s tourism,” said Dizon.

The Puerto Princesa Underground River is one of the seven Asian entries billed in the top 10 finalists.

The Puerto Princesa Underground River is about 50 km north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, and is reputed to be the world’s longest underground river.

The public can vote online by visiting www.New7Wonders.com or www.n7w.com.  For SMS, the public can register their votes by sending PPUR to 2861./Correspondent Katreena Bisnar
