Cebu City lantern contest

THE Cebu City government announced the holding of its lantern festival for students and professionals.

The design of the lantern shall be free interpretation. Entries should have a dimension of not more than five feet in diameter and should not contain the name of the contestant.

An entry number will be assigned by the organizers upon submission.

All lanterns must be submitted at the Fuente Osmeña circle on Nov. 29 and 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A staff will be on hand to accept the entries.

FEATURED STORIES

The judging will be held on the night of Dec. 1 and 2. Judging is based on originality (30 percent), artistry (30 percent), creativity (30 percent) and overall impact (10 percent).

Prizes are P15,000 for the first place, P10,000 for the second place, P7,000 for the third place and 25 consolation prizes of P1,000 each.
