American, Pinoy veterans to be honored tomorrow

UNITED States Ambassador Harry K. Thomas Jr. will lead the American community and guests in honoring the sacrifices of American and Filipino veterans at the annual Veterans’ Day at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in Taguig City, Metro Manila, tomorrow at 11 a.m.

Veterans of both nations and representatives from the US Embassy and Philippine government including Rep. Roilo Golez will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony.

The Veterans’ Day ceremony will begin at exactly 11 a.m., which is the time that major hostilities of World War I ended with the signing of the Armistice at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.
