Real-life scenarios were infused at the bomb drill held at Camp Aguinaldo on Friday.
“The Inspector General (TIG) Maj. Gen. Rafael Valencia conducted a drill on the Headquarters Service Command — the unit that guards the Armed Forces of the Philippines General Headquarters,” AFP public affairs office chief Col. Edgard Arevalo said.
The drills were supposed to test the security preparedness and readiness response of HSC as part of the annual general inspection (AGI) conducted on by the TIG.
“There were some findings noted nonetheless on how to further improve camp defense and security. And these are what the unit will have to address within 15 days after the Commander, HSC Army Colonel Dominique Pulido was notified of the AGI Findings,” Arevalo said.
He added that the HSC performed “satisfactorily” for the drill.
The Inspector General is the office responsible for the checking of military to units to ensure they meet the standards of efficiency.
