ITCZ to bring rains in southern PH Friday

Mindanao will experience rains on Friday due to an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau said.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms is expected over Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Davao region, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds coming from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and from the east to southeast over the rest of the country, Pagasa said.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. FM/IDL
