Suspect in Bulacan massacre nabbed

CITY OF MALOLOS — A construction worker had been arrested for the June 27 massacre of a family in the city of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

Carmelo Ibanez, 26, allegedly confessed to the police in front of his own family during a follow up interview at the headquarters on June 28, according to Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., Bulacan police director.

Details as to why Ibanez stabbed the family of bank security guard Dexter Carlos have not been released as of this posting.

Carlos discovered the bodies of his wife Estrella, his mother-in-law, Aurora and his  three children when he returned home from work on Tuesday morning.

A witness saw Ibanez near the Carlos house on the day of the massacre. Ibanez was one of the four persons of interest who were interviewed by the police. /rga
