3.6 quake jolts Surigao del Norte

A 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte at 9:39 a.m. Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage from the undersea quake that centered eight kilometers southwest of San Francisco town at a shallow depth of three kilometers.

It was felt at Intensity IV in Surigao City, San Francisco and Malimono; and Intensity I in Mainit, Surigao del Norte.
