MANILA, Philippines – As the year comes to a close, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go expressed his heartfelt greetings to every Filipino, wishing them a prosperous, happy, and healthy New Year. In his message, the senator emphasized his unwavering commitment to serving the Filipino people, referring to his mantra of “bisyo ang magserbisyo.”
“This New Year, my wish is for every Filipino family to have good health, happiness, and hope for a better tomorrow. Rest assured, ipagpapatuloy ko ang aking bisyo na magserbisyo sa mga kababayan kong Pilipino sa abot ng aking makakaya. Together, we will work toward promoting good governance and implementing programs that truly address the needs of our kababayans,” Mr. Malasakit said.
“Sanay po tayo sa trabaho at ang kasipagan ko ang isa sa maiaalay ko sa ating mga kababayang Pilipino. Hindi po ako pulitiko na mangangako, gagawin ko lang po ang aking trabaho na maglingkod sa inyo,” Go said in a recent interview.
As the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Senator Go reaffirmed his mandate to championing more accessible health services, citing the continued operations of Malasakit Centers, the establishment of Super Health Centers, and the proper implementation of the Regional Specialty Centers Act.
“Ang wish ko talaga always ay healthy ang bawat Filipino. Have a happy, healthy new year po sa ating lahat. Para sa akin, ang kalusugan po ay katumbas po yan ng buhay ng bawat Pilipino. Kaya po tayo, bilang chairman ng Committee on Health nakatutok po tayo sa kalusugan ng bawat Pilipino,” said Senator Go.
In addition, as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Go pledged to intensify his efforts to promote sports development across the country, particularly at the grassroots level.
“Sports not only foster physical fitness but also instill discipline, teamwork, and values in our youth. I will continue to advocate for programs that encourage Filipinos, especially the young, to ‘get into sports and stay away from drugs,’” he said.
Looking ahead, Senator Go expressed his gratitude for the trust and support of the Filipino people, “I am deeply thankful for the support you have shown me over the years. I will continue to pay it forward by serving every Filipino with sincerity and compassion,” he stated.
