Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival
Two festivals are merged in one grand celebration in Tacloban City, Leyte province. Pintados pays homage to the city’s patron Señor Santo Niño, while also showcasing the ancient body painting practiced by early inhabitants called “pintados.” Kasadyaan, meanwhile, features the vibrant and diverse culture of the province. Locals from different towns and cities join in the festivities.

Apung Iru Fluvial Festival
Article continues after this advertisementA fluvial procession in the town of Apalit, Pampanga province. The town’s patron St. Peter, or locally known as “Apung Iru,” is brought from Capalangan to Calumpit River. The parade will end at a colorful pagoda, where the image will be placed.

Tanggogoan Festival
Celebration of Araw ng Davao del Sur at the provincial capitol in Digos City, Davao del Sur. Events include a street dancing and tribal dance competition as well as the annual beauty pageant.
