Did You Know: 97th birth anniversary of Jovito Salonga
Today, June 20, is the 97th birth anniversary of the late Sen. Jovito Salonga.
A bar topnotcher in 1944, he served as Rizal representative from 1961 to 1965 before he was elected senator in 1965, 1971 and 1987.
Salonga served as Presidential Commission on Good Government chair from 1986 to 1987 and as Senate president from 1987 to 1991.
