MANILA, Philippines—Senator Panfilo Lacson on Monday taunted former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s move to question in court the watch list order that she herself invented when she was in power.

“It’s a way to go. Dapat noon pa nila kinuwestyon para once and for all ma-resolve ang issue ng WLO [watchlist order] (They should have questioned it a long time ago so as to resolve the issue of WLO),” Lacson said in a text message to reporters.

“Kaya lang, si Arroyo ang huling nilalang na may karapatang mag question kasi siya ang nag-imbento ng WLO sa pamamagitan ng DOJ niya nun (But Arroyo is the last person who has the right to question it because it was she who invented WLO through DOJ),” he said, referring to the Department of Justice now being headed by Secretary Leila de Lima.

“It is a clear case of ‘What goes around, comes around’,” Lacson added.

The senator was one of those who suggested the issue of Arroyo’s request to seek medical treatment abroad should be brought to the Supreme Court since she was just under the government’s watch list order for various cases lodged against her.

Lacson went in hiding after a warrant of arrest was issued for his alleged role in the killings of publicist Salvador “Bubby” Dacer and driver, Emmanuel Corbito.
