An Ampatuan pleads not guilty

Datu Sajid Islam Ampatuan has pleaded not guilty to the latest graft case lodged against him, this time for the allegedly anomalous release of P16.32 million to a nonexistent food supplier in 2009.

Ampatuan is one of the prime suspects in the Nov. 23, 2009, Maguindanao massacre in which 58 persons, including 32 media workers, were killed in one of the worst election incidents and media killings in history.
