ALICIA, Isabela—A retired Army soldier shot and wounded four of his relatives on Friday morning (June 9) in Linglingay village here.

Jesus Tayan Abat, 53, snuck into the home of the Tayan family at 6:30 a.m. and opened fire on Arthur, Arvin, Arjay and Brehida Tayan, said Supt. Manuel Bringas, Isabela police deputy director for operations.

Abat fled after the shooting. The wounded relatives were in critical condition and were being treated at a hospital.

Investigators are trying to determine if the attack was due to a family dispute.
