DepEd reactivates Oplan Balik Eskwela nationwide

The Department of Education (DepEd) officially reactivated the Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) centers across the country on Monday to ensure the smooth and orderly resumption of classes next week.

Education Undersecretary Jesus Mateo, who heads the OBE command center at the DepEd main office, said the centers were set up in all the regional and schools division offices to give education stakeholders wider access to information and solutions to problems encountered during the opening of classes.

The command center allotted hotlines to accommodate school opening-related requests, complaints and suggestions: 636-1663; 633-1942; 636-6549; 635-0552; 638-7530; 638-7531; 635-9817; 638-7529; 636-6550; 637-9814; 633-7252; 632-1370; 632-1364; 638-1793; 632-1368; 632-1361.

The public may also use the text hotline 0919-456-0027 or email action@deped.gov.ph.

“These are basically help desks to provide assistance to students, parents and teachers who encounter issues during the first week of the resumption of classes,” Mateo told the Inquirer.
