A man was critically wounded after he was hit by a stray bullet while attending a friend’s birthday party in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City, past midnight yesterday.
Mariano Diola Jr., 24, a resident in the barangay, suffered a gunshot wound in the forehead.
Police said Diola attended the birthday party of Allen Ortiz on the corner of H. Borgonia and Juaquin Streets.
While Diola and his friends were having a drinking session, a burst of gunfire broke out.
A wounded Diola slumped on the ground.
His friends checked the surroundings but found no one.
Diola was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center.
