3 dead, 1 hurt in Cavite shooting

SAN PEDRO CITY — Three persons were killed while another was hurt in a shooting incident in Imus City in Cavite province on Tuesday evening, police said Wednesday.
Imus City police chief Supt. Norman Ranon said witnesses identified the gunman as Jojit Paredez, a farmer who tilled a private lot in Barangay (village) Pasong Buaya 1.
Police identified the fatalities as Mandy Santarin, Dennis Delimos and Danny Alegro. A still unidentified man was wounded.
“We learned that this Jojit was recently barred from the property by the caretaker Mandy Santarin,” Ranon said.
Article continues after this advertisementAt about 7 p.m., Tuesday, Paredez waited on the street for Santarin, who was then with the three other victims.
Article continues after this advertisementParedez suddenly opened fire, killing Santarin and Delimos instantly. Alegro and their other companion were rushed to the hospital. Alegro died a few hours later.
The police are still tracking down Paredez who escaped after the shooting. CBB
