Cops nab 8 in Pangasinan drug den

DAGUPAN CITY — Eight people, including a businessman and his wife, were arrested Tuesday night at an alleged drug den in Urdaneta City, Senior Supt. Ronald Oliver Lee, Pangasinan police director, said on Wednesday.

Businessman James Javier, 48, and his wife Arcellie, 41, were first arrested for selling a sachet of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to an undercover policeman at about 7 p.m.

Later, police discovered that the house on Arcangel Street in Barangay (village) Poblacion where the transaction took place was being used as a drug den by the couple and 6 other people.

The police arrested Widmark Callanta, 37; Jocelyn Caballero, 38; Rocky Repanco, 23; Arman Javier, 50; Caloy Santos, 36; and Minnie Santos, 41.

They seized nine sachets of shabu, two sachets with shabu residue, assorted drug paraphernalia and a .45 caliber pistol armed with five bullets. CBB
