Metro Manila’s main railway systems will be suspending operations from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday in observance of the Holy Week and to give way to annual maintenance work.

In separate advisories, the management of the Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT), Philippine National Railways (PNR), and Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 said normal operations would resume on Monday, April 17.

PNR said a Tutuban-Mamatid train and Tutuban-Alabang train would run at 7:07 p.m. and 7:37 p.m., respectively, on April 16, Easter Sunday.

On Holy Wednesday, LRT-2’s westbound trains from Santolan to Recto will run from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., while eastbound trains from Recto to Santolan will operate from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are regular holidays in the Philippines, while Black Saturday is a special nonworking holiday. CBB
