More Misamis flights set
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY—The volume of travelers between Northern Mindanao and Visayas is expected to increase as the Gokongwei-owned Cebu Pacific announced recently that it was now serving the Laguindingan-Bacolod and Laguindingan-Tagbilaran routes.
The flights started recently.
May Salvaña-Unchuan, regional tourism director, did not cite figures but said the new flights would further increase the number of passengers traveling between Northern Mindanao and Visayas.
Katherine de Castro, tourism undersecretary for tourism advocacy and public affairs, said the additional flights would enhance Northern Mindanao’s tourism industry.
Alexander Lao, Cebgo president and chief executive officer, said more flights would “not only boost tourism but also increase trade” between Visayas and Mindanao.

Article continues after this advertisementCebu Pacific serves the Laguindingan-Tagbilaran route four times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) and the Laguindingan-Bacolod route thrice a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays).
