Did You Know: Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week

The fourth week of March was declared “Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week” by virtue of Proclamation No. 759 signed on March 6, 1996 by then President Fidel Ramos. The celebration was placed under the auspices of the Council for the Welfare of Children. The council’s office is located at Sta. Mesa Heights, Barangay Sta.
