NBI nabs 2 sisters for child porn, sex trafficking

The National Bureau of Investigation has arrested two sisters involved in child pornography and sexual trafficking and rescued 13 minors in Dasmarinas, Cavite province.

NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin identified the two suspects as Elvie and Arlene Aringo.

The NBI Anti-Human Trafficking Division chief, Janet Francisco, said the arrest of the two was a result of intelligence information shared by the United States.

According to Francisco, the suspects used the children for an actual sex show on camera. They also sent pornographic materials to online foreign clients in exchange for $50 to $100.

The NBI said some of the clients came to the Philippines and paid at least P10,000 to have sex with the victims.
