6 nabbed in renewed drug operations in Quezon
LUCENA CITY – Six suspected drug pushers were collared in the renewed police operations against illegal drugs on Monday in four towns in Quezon province, police said Tuesday.
Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police provincial director, said members of the newly composed anti-drug enforcement units nabbed the suspects in the towns of Sariaya, Pagbilao, Tiaong and Candelaria.
In Sariaya, police arrested Karen Gicana, 33, after she sold a small sachet of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to an undercover operative in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sampaloc Uno around 10
p.m. The suspect yielded P300 worth of shabu.
Earlier in the same town, policemen also arrested Noriel Magadia, 24, after he sold a sachet of shabu to policemen in Barangay Concepcion Palasan around 12:45 p.m. Magadia’s associate, Emerson Maghirang Jr. tried to run but was eventually arrested. Police seized P200 worth of shabu from the suspects.
In Candelaria town, policeman collared Conrado Liseguis, 43, after he was caught sniffing “shabu” in Barangay Malabanban Norte around 4:40 p.m.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Tiaong, policemen arrested Felixberto Luansing, 43, after he sold a pack of shabu to a police agent in Barangay Lusacan around 12:30 a.m. Police seized two small sachets of shabu from the suspect.
In Pagbilao, suspect Jerome Retardo, 37, was nabbed by policemen after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police informant in Barangay Mapagong around 4 p.m. SFM
