Robbers hold up Manila-bound bus in Quezon

LUCENA CITY—A robbery-holdup gang operating along the Maharlika Highway in Quezon victimized 11 passengers of a Manila-bound bus early dawn Monday in Tiaong town in Quezon province, police said Tuesday.

A police report said four suspects boarded the passenger bus in Candelaria town. Upon reaching Barangay (village) Lagalag in Tiaong around 12:30 a.m., three of the robbers pulled out their handguns and started to rob the victims.

The victims lost an undetermined amount of money, pieces of jewelry, mobile phones and other personal belongings to the robbers who got off near Barangay Tagbakin, report said.
