THE Department of the Interior and Local Government in Central Visayas (DILG-7) will hold a “Tapatan Roadshow” with Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo today, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City.
Robredo will discuss with the governors, city and municipal mayors of region 7 about the agency’s full disclosure policy as well as thresh out common concerns and outcomes.
DILG-7 regional director Pedro Noval Jr. said the roadshow aims to secure the commitment and support of local chief executives in the region on the said policy.
The Tapatan Roadshow is a dialogue on performance, accountability, responsiveness and transparency.
Noval said on same day, the DILG-7 will launch its official website. The website will present the status of LGU (local government unit) compliance on full disclosure of local budget and finances, bids and public offerings.
Part of the activity roadshow is the signing of a memorandum of agreement among the Cebu provincial government, Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. and DILG on GREENIN Philippines and Billion Trees Program.
