LTFRB reminds PUJ operators, drivers of fare hike

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Saturday reminded jeepney operators and drivers of the adjusted fare rates for commuters in Metro Manila, Central Luzon and the Southern Tagalog region.

After the approval of one-peso fare hike which took effect on Friday, the LTFRB posted the adjusted fare rates for public utility jeepneys (PUJs) on Twitter.

From P7, regular passengers will now have to pay P8 as minimum fare.

Meanwhile, the 20-percent discount remained in effect for students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs), who now have to pay P6.40 from the previous P5.60 as minimum fare. CDG
