DID YOU KNOW: Concepcion Felix Rodriguez
Today, Feb. 9, is the 133rd birth anniversary of humanitarian and feminist movement pioneer Concepcion Felix Rodriguez. In 1905, she established the Asociacion Feminista Filipina together with Trinidad Rizal and other women leaders. For her life’s work dedicated to serving Filipino women, she received the Republic Medal of Merit in 1948. She also received the gold medal of merit from President Magsaysay in 1955 and the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice award from Pope Pius XII in 1956.
