Isabela city employee wounded in shooting

CAUAYAN CITY–A 37-year-old member of the city government’s public order and safety unit was wounded on Monday (Feb. 6) after he was repeatedly shot by two motorcycle-riding gunmen near the overflow bridge in Alicaocao village here.

Rolando Sales Jr., 37, was in critical condition and has been confined at the Isabela United Doctors Medical Center, according to Senior Supt. Alexander Rafael, Isabela police director.

Sales was driving across the bridge when he was attacked by the gunmen, who were riding  on a red motorcycle with no plate number.

Forensic investigators found nine spent shells and two bullets for a Cal. 45 handgun at the crime scene. CDG/rga
