2 brothers dead in Quezon road accident
LUCENA CITY — Two brothers died in a road accident along the Maharlika Highway in Atimonan town, Quezon province on Monday, police said.
Chief Insp. Alexis Nava, Atimonan police chief, said a Toyota Revo driven by Salvador Enriquez, 54, hit a Metro Manila-bound Philtranco bus driven by Allan Doringo in Barangay Angeles at 2 a.m.
Enriquez’s vehicle was running on the opposite lane when it collided head-on with the oncoming Pintados bus driven by Ramon de los Santos, Nava said.
The vehicle then hit the road’s steel railings and turned-turtle before landing on the shoulder of the highway.
Enriquez and his brother, Eligio, died while being taken to the Doña Marta Memorial District Hospital in Atimonan.
