Mourners offered flowers and candles at the crime scene where South Korean businessman Jee Ick-joo was strangled to death by a group of anti-narcotics cops inside the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame.
Members of the Korean community in the Philippines and anonymous sympathizers placed bouquets of flower, funeral sprays and candles where the group of SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabel allegedly parked the SUV and killed Jee on the night of October 18.
Sta. Isabel’s group took Jee from his home in Angeles City, Pampanga under the guise of a drug operation. The cops, using Jee’s black Ford Explorer, brought Jee to Camp Crame to kill him.

They then brought his body to a funeral parlor in Caloocan City and later had his remains cremated in a different facility, reportedly under a Filipino name.
Police have not recovered Jee’s cremated remains. PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa said he was told that an employee of the crematorium panicked and flushed the ashes of Jee down the toilet.
It was believed the first time in the PNP’s recent history that policemen boldly murdered a victim inside a police camp.
