Juice vendor, tricycle driver killed in Pangasinan mishaps

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — A juice vendor and a tricycle driver were killed in two separate road accidents in Pangasinan province on Wednesday.

Melissa Salinas, 20, who sold buko juice, was thrown off a motorcycle which was sideswiped by an overtaking truck at 10:40 a.m. in Mapandan town.

Police said the woman’s head was crushed by the truck’s right wheel.

The motorcyle driver, Allen Capati, 18, was treated at the Mapandan Community Hospital for minor injuries. The truck driver, Mark Joseph Manlongat, 21, has been arrested.
