BAGUIO CITY—The chilly morning resumed in this mountain city as the mercury plunged to 11 degrees Celsius on Friday, matching the coldest day on Jan. 9, according to the weather bureau here.

Temperature readings were up in the last two weeks until it dropped after the late afternoon rains the past two days. Temperature registered 14.2 degrees on Jan. 23, then rose to 14.4 on Jan. 24, dropped to 13.5 on Jan. 25 and 13.2 on Jan. 26.

The trend showed the mercury dipping gradually, Efren Dalipog, Baguio weather observer, said, adding that residents may expect far colder nights and mornings due to a cold front. —GOBLETH MOULIC
