PART 2 | 3

MANILA, Philippines – A brother and sister of Ramgen Bautista were implicated in his murder, police said Tuesday.

Maria Ramona Belen Bautista, younger sister, was named by a witness as having conspired with brother Ramon Joseph and five others in the murder of Ramgen in the family-owned home in Parañaque City last October 28.

In a press conference aired on Radyo Inquirer 990AM, police said the motive for the killing was “personal” but did not go into the details.

Murder and frustrated murder charges have been filed against Ramon Joseph, Michael Cruz Altia and Roy Francis Tolisora – who are now under police custody.

The others who are at large are Maria Ramona Belen, Norwin de la Cruz, one alias Ryan, and one alias Gliza.

When asked about the role of Maria Ramona Belen, police said in mixed English and Filipino, “It appears there was a cover-up. She [Ramona] was accessory to the crime.”

“Janelle requested her to call an ambulance or help but she did not leave,” the police added, referring to Janelle Manahan, girlfriend of Ramgen who was with him when the crime took place. Manahan was also shot but she survived.

Police said their investigation also revealed that Ramona faked her abduction.
Ramona was at the crime scene when the incident happened and initial reports showed that she was taken by the suspects but was freed later on.

Ramgen Bautista, an actor, used Ram Revilla as his screen name.

He was the son of former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr. and Genalyn Magsaysay.

In an earlier radio report, the elder Revilla was reported to have been taken to the St. Luke’s Medical Center at the Bonifacio Global City, apparently due to high blood pressure.

For the full report, listen to Radyo Inquirer 990AM.
