Former Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr. rushed to hospital

MANILA, Philippines – Former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr. was rushed to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig on Tuesday due to high blood pressure and high fever, according to a Radyo INQUIRER report.

This came after Revilla’s son, Ramon Joseph Bautista, was implicated in the Friday killing of his older brother Ramgen Bautista, who is known by his screen name Ram Revilla.

The radio report said that according to Portia Ilagan, the spokesperson of the Revilla family, Revilla Sr. had been affected by the tragedy and that the Revillas were shocked by it.

Ramgen was stabbed to death in his family’s house in Paranaque City while his girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, was shot but survived.

Ramon Joseph, 18, was arrested by the police Monday night after he was tagged as the alleged mastermind in the killing.

Portia clarified to radio reporter Erwin Aguilon that Ramon Joseph was not arrested but only invited for questioning and that he neither surrendered to the Parañaque city police.

Both Ramgen and Ramon Joseph are Revilla Sr.’s sons with Genalyn Magsaysay.
