3.1 magnitude quake shakes Benguet—Phivolcs
MANILA, Philippines – A 3.1 magnitude earthquake shook Benguet early Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its report, Phivolcs said that the weak earthquake hit 23 kilometers northeast of La Trinidad, Benguet and had a 73 kilometer depth at 3:53 am Tuesday. The quake was also of tectonic origin, Phivolcs said.
Meanwhile, no other quakes were reported elsewhere and no damages and aftershocks were expected, Phivolcs said.
