Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez on Tuesday expressed doubt about the alleged connection of a Mindanao congresswoman’s son to a terrorist group involved in a bomb attack in Davao City in September.
“We have to check this first because it doesn’t make sense to me,” Alvarez said when asked to comment on reports implicating Mohammad Abduljabbar Sema in the activities of the Maute group.
Sema is a son of Maguindanao Rep. Sandra Sema and Muslimin Sema, chair of the main faction of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).
