Parts of Luzon will continue to experience rain due to what’s left of Tropical Depression “Auring” which has weakened to a low pressure area (LPA), the state weather bureau said midday Wednesday.

Moderate to occasionally heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected over the Bicol region and the provinces of Palawan, Quezon and Aurora, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The LPA that was formerly Auring, the first tropical cyclone to hit the country this year, was last spotted 80 kilometers west-southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Metro Manila, the Western Visayas, Negros Island, the Central Visayas, Caraga, the rest of Calabarzon and Mimaropa will have light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms.

The northeast monsoon continues to affect Northern and Central Luzon, Pagasa said. CBB
