ISABELA CITY—Three soldiers were killed while 22 others were injured when the military vehicle they were riding in turned upside down in Upper Kamuntayan in Talipao, Sulu on Friday.

Major Filemon Tan Jr., spokesperson of the military’s Western Mindanao Command, said the brakes of one of the trucks traveling in a convoy with other military vehicles apparently malfunctioned as it was traversing the Danag-Bilaan road around 5:30 a.m.

The truck skidded before flipping over several times.
The three soldiers were initially injured but died upon arrival at the military hospital in Jolo town, Tan said.
