LPA to bring rain, thunderstorms in Mindanao — Pagasa

The trough of a low pressure area will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Thursday.

The northeast monsoon continues to affect Luzon and Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Cloudy skies with light rains are expected over the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Bicol, Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque and Oriental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast, while the coastal areas will be moderate to rough.

“Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to north with slight to moderate seas,” Pagasa said. CBB
