Tugboat sinks near pier in Zamboanga City

A tugboat sank near a pier in Zamboanga City after colliding with a tanker on Wednesday.

According to a report from the Coast Guard District in Southwestern Mindanao, M/Tug La Bella sank 500 meters from Cawa Cawa Boulevard in Zamboanga City around 10 a.m. when it collided with MV Gold Eagle.

No one was reported hurt in the incident.

The tugboat was loaded with 100 liters of diesel but the Coast Guard dismissed the possibility of an oil spill.
